Here are some pictures and comments from the HighEnd Hifi show I visited 17-18th of February 2018 here in Stockholm, Sweden.

Stockholm High End 2018

On the test bench we have the Satori MR16P-8 6.5″ mid-range from SBAcoustics. This is a very nice performing  “state of the art” pure mid-range.

On the test bench we have the Satori WO24P-4, 9.5″ woofer from SBAcoustics. This HighEnd woofer works very nicely in a 60 liter enclosure with a port tuning between 28-30Hz.

On the test bench we have the SB23NRXS45-8 woofer from SBAcoustics. It’s a truly amazing sounding 8″ woofer and it has a deep, dry and dynamic bass performance from e.g. a ~45 liter enclosure with a port tuning between 28-30Hz.

The Hulgich Audio & AudioExcite Loudspeaker Design Team:

The 3rd-5th of November I attended the Melbourne International Hifi Show in Australia together with Hulgich Audio.

We had a great success showcasing three of the Hulgich Audio models, the Ella MkII, Maestro and Serenade loudspeakers.

The Ella MkII is a brand new loudspeaker and after a long and hard work and with only two weeks marginal, we finished it just in time before the Show. The Ella MkII wasn’t the only new product on the Show, the Maestro was also for the first time demoed to a broader public.

All three models were received well and got very good reviews.

In fact with the new Ella MkII, we were awarded with the prestigious “Best Sound – Overall” award and the “Best Newcomer” award!

I want to thank and congratulate Nicolas Hulgich for an exemplary well done work with the Hifi show and for the great time I had with him and the rest of the Hulgich Audio team in Australia.

I also want to thank all the Hifi Show attendees and other Exhibitors for their very friendly reception.

Aussie’s are the best!

AudioExcite Loudspeaker Design

It has been a while since the last published driver measurements, but here we have the low distorting and high performing driver SB17NRXC35-8 mid-woofer from SBAcoustics.

I’m proud to present the AudioExcite Loudspeaker Design cooperation with HULGICH AUDIO!

It all started about three years ago when I met Nicholas Hulgich, the founder and owner of HULGICH AUDIO and he contacted me for some technical questions regarding a specific loudspeaker design.

Nick, his nickname in Australia is a great guy and he has over the years become my dear friend and we both share similar compassion for music and of course the interest in great sounding loudspeakers.

Nick is born and raised in Argentina where he has a background as an industrial designer. He emigrated with his wife to Australia in 2005. Nick and his HULGICH AUDIO team are based in Adelaide, South Australia.

Ok, where does AudioExcite Loudspeaker Design fit in to all this?

I helped Nick with some loudspeaker designs as we both have a mutual understanding of how a loudspeaker should perform and sound.

I guess I proved my technical skills too Nick, because he suddenly told me he’s going to start a new loudspeaker brand in Australia and asked me if could be his technical Consultant in this endeavor and great adventure.

At first I must say I was a bit hesitant and I actually told Nick to think twice before going on, since I know how tough this branch is.

I’ve seen many brands come and go over the years, but if anyone is going to succeed, it’s Nick – So I told him that this is also a dream of mine and I’m going to help you!

Now about two years later HULGICH AUDIO is ready to conquer the world with its remarkable loudspeakers.

It’s seldom you see such strength and determination in a person, but Nicks got it and in only about two years of development he’s got a first review on the top of the line loudspeaker Astor in Australia’s largest Hifi magazine stereonet.

stereonet is in fact is the fourth largest on-line Hifi magazine in the world! – Not a bad feat in such a short time.

Both Nick and I are very proud of the warm reception and the good review the Astor got in stereonet and I end here and say…..

AudioExcite Loudspeaker Design

The Fountek NeoCD1.0 is a small low priced ribbon tweeter with an extended frequency response.

As many small sized ribbons the distortion profile is rather high, but if the cross-over frequency and filter topology is carefully chosen, the NeoCD1.0 is a nice sounding affordable ribbon tweeter.

The Kensho Two – M3

“Kensho” is Japanese for “seeing nature.” It means seeing one’s true nature; perceiving the self, but can also in Zen Buddhism mean “a brief experience of enlightenment”.

This loudspeaker is a small 2-way using a 5” mid-woofer and a 1″ coated textile dome tweeter in a 11 liter enclosure.

This low distorting and moderate priced loudspeaker performs very well and it delivers a generous soundstage with an extended high frequency response and a powerful bass response.
